From the papers of Rev. Francis Purcell

read by Pat Laffan

directed by Tim Cook

music by Leigh Odlin

A manuscript from the collection of the late Rev. Francis Purcell, an Irish country priest whose interests extended to the gathering of old local legends.  In this comic tale, a farmer, suspecting his favourite goose of being possessed by the spirit of his late father, enlists the help of a fairy doctor and so sets in motion a series of unfortunate events.

The recording is accompanied by an eBook essay, reflecting on the story's influences and legacy, written by Le Fanu authority, Jim Rockhill.
