
Michael Kramer
Michael Kramer is an audio book narrator with credits spanning more than 100 novels. A graduate of St. Mary’s College, Minnesota, he has been an actor and theatre director for more than 20 years with recent roles ranging from Don Pedro in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing to an Urdu-speaking parrot in Kite on the Wind, a contemporary play celebrating life and culture in Pakistan.
Michael lives near Washington D.C. with his two children and his wife, the actress Jennifer Mendenhall. Jointly they have recorded several audio books including Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series. They also train other actors in the techniques of audio book narration.
Michael Kramer’s own skills as an audio book reader have won him the coveted Audiofile Magazine’s Earphones Award for his reading of Alan Fulsom’s The Day After Tomorrow. His ability to convey complex ideas with precision and clarity whilst retaining a strong sense of the humanity of the characters, make him the ideal narrator for Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
