David Collings
David Collings was born in Brighton, England on 4th January 1940. He has spent his career at the top of his profession achieving an enviable list of credits. Working with directors such as Trevor Nunn, Jonathan Lynn, and Richard Eyre, his theatrical roles have ranged from Newman Noggs in the RSC’s legendary production of Nicholas Nickleby to Howard Davies’s production of Cyrano de Bergerac. His television work includes Elizabeth R, Miss Marple: A Murder is Announced, Darling Buds of May as well as sci-fi classics like Doctor Who, Blake's 7 and Sapphire and Steel.

He also provided the voice of Monkey in the English language version of the hit Japanese television series. He played Bob Cratchit in the musical Scrooge opposite Albert Finney and opposite Paul Schofield in A Man for all Seasons. His many radio roles include Legolas in BBC Radio’s definitive adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. For Craftsman, David has read the The Complete Ghost Stories of M. R. James and Mr Justice Harbottle and many others from The Complete Ghost Stories of J. Sheridan Le Fanu.
